Running a sci-fi radio station is harder than you’d think. No matter how on top of things you try to stay, you’re constantly surprised by new discoveries. Take Chris Cape’s Mark Hamill Can Handle, for instance. This creative confection moves the needle on the Star Wars geek-o-meter as animation, LEGO, visual effects, and for just plain being a great song.

Here’s the video – be sure to pause the SCIFI.radio music stream using the controllers at the upper right (or at the bottom if you’re on a mobile device) before playing it. Dueling soundtracks isn’t as much fun as you’d think.

The video for the song was created by the extremely talented James Muxworthy. Music-wise, the song is not only well written with some nice hooks, it’s got a crunchy backbeat and it’s not either overproduced or underproduced as so many fan songs are, so it has a nice clean sound.
