New York, NY (October 4, 2019)—The wait is over, and the publisher Scholastic (NASDAQ: SCHL), the global children’s publishing, education and media company, has released the title and cover for the newest addition to Suzanne Collins best selling Hunger Games series. It’s the first new Hunger Games book since Mockingjay, published in 2010.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (previously announced on SCIFI.radio as Untitled Panem Novel) will be published May 19, 2020, with a World English first printing of 2.5 million copies. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will be published simultaneously in print, digital and audio formats by Scholastic in the US, Canada, the UK and Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. The book will also be translated by Stimola Literary Studio and released into 28 territories (we presume that means practically every language on Earth that has a written form).
