Whatever you thought you knew about Spider-Man: Far from Home, prepare yourself for something even better. Here’s the second trailer for the film, introduced by none other than Tom Holland himself – who takes great pains to explain that if you haven’t seen Avengers: Endgame yet, stop now, because the trailer does contain more than a few spoilers.

Ready? Pause the SCIFI.radio music stream using the player control at the right (or at the bottom if you’re on mobile, we have no control over that, alas), and prepare yourself for awesomeness.

By the way, Tom Holland is in this telling you the trailer contains spoilers. Tom Holland has a reputation for being the biggest spoilery blabbermouth in the MCU. If Tom Holland is telling you something contains spoilers, for God’s sake, listen to him.

SCIFI.radio's TRAILER PARK

Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man™: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man™: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

But that really doesn’t cover it.

Did we mention SPOILERS? Marvel Studios puts us all in a difficult spot. We need to tell you about the stuff in this new trailer, but if we do, we’re potentially spoiling Avengers: Endgame for you. If you haven’t seen Endgame, go see that, but if you have, here’s some commentary on what’s in the trailer.

And Now for the Spoiler Stuff:

Nick Fury is trying very hard to get ahold of Peter Parker, because he’s the best shot, by process of elimination, to handle the new pan-dimensional threat coming through rifts in the multi-verse caused by Thanos’ reality-altering Infinity Gauntlet finger-snap.

That’s right, Peter says the word “multiverse”, so Marvel has officially introduced the Multiverse into the MCU. Let that sink in a moment.

Not everything that’s crawled through the rift is bad, though. Mysterio is here too, and he’s from Earth – just not this one. One of the Big Bads from Spider-Man’s earliest days in the comics, this one appears ready to help a deeply uncertain Spider-Man tackle these new giant elementals threatening scenic European tourist spots.

Where are these creatures coming from? Is Mysterio on the up and up? We have absolutely no idea – and neither do you – but we’re dying to find out.

Spiderman: Far from Home makes its big screen debut July 2. The Infinity War story arc isn’t done yet!

(Squee!)
