The seventh season of Game of Thrones is almost here. This new trailer for it just dropped, and it’s mostly just an emotional stage setting for what is to come in the new season, with Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister and John Snow – and at the end, a White Walker. Have a look.
Game of Thrones is based on the George R. R. Martin Tales of Fire and Ice novel. There has been a very legitimate concern that the production will run out of novels before Martin finishes writing the next one. Possibly because of this problem, the new season will contain characters and story elements not found in Martin’s novels, but also draws from the as yet unpublished sixth and seventh books in the series.
It debuts July 16 on HBO.
