It just might be the most eagerly awaited film of the summer season, and with good reason. Behold, the new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. It’s got everything you were hoping for – self-involved aliens who think they know what’s best for all species in the galaxy without bothering to ask them first, dancing, lots more Rocket Racoon gadgets, Baby Groot (who seems to really love trailmix, but not seatbelts), and Peter Quill and his father come face to face. Oh, and his father’s a planet.
Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 is directed and written by James Gunn, has a list of writer credits for character creation and comic book source material, stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Starlord, Zoe Saldano as Gamora, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Vin Diesel as Groot, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Racoon, and Kurt Russel as Ego, the Living Planet.
For you Browncoats out there, Nathan Fillion is in this too, as a character called Simon Williams.
The film releases May 5, 2017.
