Ever popular with the geek community, They Might Be Giants routinely dips into science fiction or fantasy for their themes. Today’s offering, Summer Breeze, is possibly more on point than anything they’ve done to date. The title invites mental imagery in direct contrast to the body of the song, which seems to be an homage to a Stephen King creation: a possessed car that roams the countryside terrorizing the unsuspecting.

As usual when watching video on our web site, be sure to temporarily pause the SCIFI.radio music stream using the control at the upper right. You’ll know it when you see it.

The Summer Breeze is part of a very ambitious 52-week Dial-A-Song project by They Might Be Giants.  This one was produced in week 24. It has very definite Lovecraftian flavor.

Enjoy the bleak, dreary humor that is TMBG.
