The man with the mustache and the man with the missing eyebrow are back! Of course, I mean Discovery Channel’s longest-running show, Mythbusters! Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, with more than 30 years special effects experience between them, have been busting myths for more than ten seasons: everything from ancient weapon designs to modern movie myths!

There was some controversy at the end of the last season, when, at the very end of the last episode of the season, it was announced that long-standing co-Mythbusters Tory Bellici, Grant Imahara, and Kari Byron would be leaving the show. Perhaps to combat this disappointment, this new season of Mythbusters promises a fresh look and feel to the show, with brand new state of the art high-res cameras to bring bigger brighter explosions and sturdier duct tape right into your living room!

Mythbusters returns to us on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 9:00 p.m. EST/PST, on the Discovery channel. And to kick off their 13th season, Adam and Jamie invite executive producer Al Jean of The Simpsons, for a very special Simpsons-themed episode! Can Homer’s extra-size-lovin’ body really stop a wrecking ball? Will Bart’s cherry bomb surprise cause a simultaneous eruption of several toilet bowls? This season, Adam and Jamie explore these and other pop-culture-inspired myths, including a visit to Indiana Jones, an exploration of the real physics of the video game world, and even a special on those masters of explosions, the A-Team! Tune in to cheer on the busts, the blasts and the plausibilities!
