In a world of slick, story-driven YouTube videos produced by people with far too much money and far too little creativity, occasionally one finds something so far outside the box that it might as well be from another planet. We think we’ve found one of those videos today.
This video, called Anime 404, is the work of YouTube artist Baka Oppai, a college student who makes anime music videos for fun. This one was begun in August 2014 and finished in December, and it compresses bits of 36 popular animes into a bit over four minutes. Some of them we recognized, a lot of them we didn’t. How many of them do you know?
