Pottermore Christmasby Nur Hussein, staff writer

Let’s hoist a butterbeer and cheer! Christmas comes early for Harry Potter fans this year! J.K Rowling will be publishing a new Potter short story every day for 12 days leading up to Christmas from December 12 to December 23, 2014. Rowling’s official Harry Potter website, Pottermore, will be publishing these stories on the days leading up to Christmas every day during that period, at the exact same time: 1:00 p.m. GMT (8:00 a.m. EST). Visit Pottermore during those times, and all you have to do to get your story is answer a rhyming riddle.

The stories will be about, among others, Florean Fortescue’s ghost, shiny gold Galleons, some new Potions, and what Rowling thinks of Draco Malfoy. Yes, please! Rowling promises “brand new moments from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” so don’t miss that! They’re not giving fans many hints, yet, but it’s exciting news, nonetheless.

They’ve set up a Facebook event which you can join for updates and more hints throughout the next week. Pottermore is also on Instagram now, so follow them there, too. The #PottermoreChristmas hashtag is lighting up on all social media, so if you want to squee along with the rest of Potter fandom, join the fun on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, or Faecbook!

We don’t know about you, but we’re hopping up and down saying, “Accio!” Is it December 12, yet? “Accio! Accio, new stories!”
