We know that Marvel’s brand new TV series, Agent Carter, is coming to television on ABC in 2015. Recently, ABC has let out some juicy details about the show.

The last time we saw Peggy Carter was in the short film included with the Iron Man 3 home video release, Agent Carter: One Shot. She was shown to be at a boring desk job after the war, and after she single-handedly completed a dangerous mission on her own initiative, she was recruited by Howard Stark to found S.H.I.E.L.D.

The setting for the new show is said to be in 1946, and possibly before the events of the One Shot, as Agent Carter is still at her desk job at the Strategic Scientific Reserve. She is then secretly recruited by Howard Stark to covertly run missions for him when Stark is framed for selling deadly weapons to the highest bidder. Stark asks Agent Carter to help him clear his name, and enlists his butler Edwin Jarvis to help her.

During these missions, Agent Carter realises not everyone is whom they seem, maybe not even Howard Stark.

Hayley Atwell and Dominic Cooper reprise their movie roles as Peggy Carter and Howard Stark respectively, and are joined by James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis. Also in the cast are Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, and Shea Whigham.
