We have a bit of casting news for this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special. Guesting on the show will be cult nerd hero Nick Frost (who is usually seen in roles together with his best friend Simon Pegg). Frost is a huge fan of the show, and he is absolutely psyched about being on it.
Also in the cast is Michael Troughton, son of Second Doctor Patrick Troughton. This isn’t the first time the children of classic Doctors have been on the show; Georgia Moffett, daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison was on the fourth series of the new show (interestingly, playing a fictional “Doctor’s daughter”).
It is yet unknown what roles the two will play. Also in the guest cast are actors Natalie Gumede, Faye Marsay, and Nathan McMullen. The Doctor Who Christmas Special is set to air in the UK, as usual, on Christmas Day.
