Released just hours ago, we present the second official trailer for Marvel Studio’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.  Professor Xavier and Magneto must convince a reluctant Wolverine to travel back in time to avert a war that will destroy the world.  The release coincides with the overseas release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

This trailer gives us more insight into the deeply shattered world that the mutants are trying to save, and we are teased with some amazing displays of mutant powers.  There’s also a reminder that the Sentinels will play a part in all this.  We catch a glimpse of one of them toward the end of the trailer, strongly resembling the Destroyer from Marvel Studio’s Thor, and Peter Dinklage makes an appearance as Bolivar Trask, the creator of the Sentinels.  The word is that it’s the second most expensive film Marvel Studios has ever done, and from what we can see in this trailer, it’s really pretty much done and ready to go.

Okay, trailer’s done its job.  We tried throwing money at the screen but nothing happened.

X-Men: Days of Future Past opens May 23rd, 2014.
