LOS ANGELES, CA – Set your phasers to stunning! The Dollface Dames (LA’s Theatrical Burlesque Troupe) and Fanboy Comics are presenting ‘From Geek to Chic! A Night of Burlesque for Your Inner Fanboy or Fangirl’ on Saturday, March 9th, at 9:30 p.m. at Magicopolis in Santa Monica, CA.
Hosted by Batman superfan Adam Gertler (Food Network’s Kid in a Candy Store, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, and Will Work for Food) and the Dames’ Victorian Vamp Vixen DeVille, the event will be a geek’s dream come true! Starting at 9:30 p.m., Magicopolis’ lobby will be transformed into a mini-convention experience featuring comic book signings by indie publishers Fanboy Comics, JBSK Comics, and WE Comics, superhero and wound make-up applications by Melissa Wagner, photo opportunities with cosplayers like Bunny Rogers and Pablo’s Costumes and Cosplayer Friends, live magic demonstrations, and much, much more!
Seating for The Dollface Dames’ show will begin at 10:30 p.m., when the Dames’ burlesque dancers and sultry singers will perform all-new routines as your favorite geeky characters. Interpretations of the sensuous ladies of geekdom will include Vixen DeVille (as Lara Croft), Lola Boutée (the Comedic Dominatrix as Betty from Archie Comics), Kitty Kat DeMille (the Brainy Ballerina as Catwoman), Mona Bella (the Wild Child as Wonder Woman), Dixie Mae Rebel (the Dixieland Delight as Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones), Eva Eden (the Latina Princess as Poison Ivy), and Roxy Knight (the Coy Coquette as Black Widow), along with guest performances by Olivia Bellafontaine (as Ava Lord from Sin City) and Jessabelle Thunder (as Storm from X-Men).
Following the stage show, guests will have an opportunity to take photos with the costumed Dames during the After Party, while Magicopolis’ bartenders will perform feats of magic. Guests will also have the chance to enter a cosplay costume contest, so be sure to don your cape and cowl for the chance to win fantastic prizes!
